Jeffrey C. Lynne, Esquire was born on August 22, 1971 in Miami, Florida. He attended the University of Florida where he graduated in 1993. After working for a year in Atlanta, Georgia, he returned to South Florida and entered the University of Miami School of Law where he graduated in May, 1997 cum laude. Throughout law school, and as a result of his affinity for politics, he worked for the Office of the State Attorney in Miami and was officially hired as a prosecutor after graduation from law school.
Mr. Lynne then moved to Boca Raton in 2000 after taking employment at a boutique litigation law firm and then joined the City of Boca Raton, Florida in 2002 as its Assistant City Attorney, where he continued his experience in the nuances of government law, including land use & zoning, private property rights, code enforcement, administrative law, real estate, and municipal financing and taxation. Mr. Lynne was then recruited to join the national law firm of Akerman Senterfitt in 2005 where he became a Shareholder, representing private clients before local, state, and federal agencies in the areas of Land Use & Zoning, Governmental Affairs, Property Rights Litigation and Construction Law.
In 2010, Mr. Lynne merged his practice with Michael S. Weiner, Esq. to form Weiner, Lynne & Thompson, P.A., where he continues to focus his practice on Land Use & Zoning and Governmental Affairs, representing private property owners and businesses before local governments and state agencies relating to the use and regulation of land and business entities.
Mr. Lynne is rated AV-Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell and was selected as one of the “Top 40 Under 40” by the South Florida Business Journal in 2009. Mr. Lynne is also one of the first attorneys in the State of Florida to earn the LEED AP (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional) designation by the U.S. Green Building Council.
He remains a sought-after speaker in the emerging field of sustainable city planning and law, and remains constantly engaged in public policy discussions with local governments on the implementation of market-driven, sustainable economic growth for the region.
